Hey I´m posting here due to the lack of resources on this particular subject in every forum I´ve consulted so far .
My goal for a couple months now is to get drum sounds to sound "rubbery"/Wet , it is hard to explain if you dont know the reference points where I drew these sounds from so I thought I´d give some examples https://www.synclinks.co.uk/track/OTU3MzU5Mi03ZjM0N2U/ ( the bassy kick-ish thing coming in at 0:09 ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXyhCpHPLUI ( the entire drum section , especially these high rubbery snares ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5ab5Cje7i8 ( the first 3 minutes )
all these percussive sections share that strange "in your face"-rubbery twang without sounding muffled or out of place , I tried to apply some neurobass-ish processing methods but never had luck
do you have any tips on how to process drums/samples in general to achieve this effect? any methods/plugins/ways to use them that I am missing
thank you !
(I´m on Ableton btw )
