This subreddit provides some great content so I thought I 'd ask in here as well.....Was having a discussion of how to help someone use an mpc 2000 or 3000 as their writing tool but still stick to a traditional/fundamental approach to learning.
They know how the mpc works inside out so learning the machine is not the issue.
Rather it is to take and adapt a lesson plan from another instrument to fit the mpc.
e.g
from http://mattwarnockguitar.com/30-minute-daily-practice-routine-for-the-busy-guitarist/
Harmony - Melody - Technique - Soloing - Ear Training - Repertoire - Music Theory
Obviously some of this would need to be changed but as for what to that os the stumbling block.
