Most people in the mid west know that the mid west is notorious for lacking a good edm scene within regards to clubs and what not. I mean we do get some love when it comes to artists performing here (eg RL and Ookay came through at IUs welcome week and other good artists).
In the grand design of things, I see a lot of potential in creating a decent scene orbiting around a decent collective of producers and djs playing out big parties to build a following. Eventually, this collective could possibly get bookings for real venues. At least that would be the ultimate goal. In reality, that's probably asking for too much, but it's nice to dream.
Anyways, I wanna get that work with anyone else trying to do the same thing. However, I go to community college so there isn't a party scene like IU for me to be in the mud working with other local artists, djing, networking, and marketing...etc.
Now my music is not professional quality yet (its shit to me), but I've been at it for a couple years and it's to the point where I can sneak a couple of my songs into a mix and people still get down to it. So all of you Indiana producers hmu and lets get this work.
TLDR: Indiana sucks, but I think it has potential for a decent edm scene. To all the Indiana producers out there, let's get it. Hmu if you want to work.
