I mean a song that is amazing in terms of melody, chord progression, arrangement, ect. should still be a great song even if it uses very recycled sounds wouldn't you say? I feel like many people obsess too much about always being original in terms of sound design when in fact a great song comes from other musical aspects. I suppose having a great fresh sound and great chords, melody, and arrangement would be the best of both worlds?
