Which musical programs allow user scripts on a lot of the aspects of the program? E.g. on the sequencer?

Which musical programs allow user scripts on a lot of the aspects of the program? E.g. on the sequencer?

I know that Reaper and Renoise have scripting capability. Additionally open source DAWs such as Ardour could allow the development of practically anything.

But I'm unsure about how extensive the Reaper or Renoise scripting support is. Or whether there's something else out there.

I have few ideas that mainly operate on the sequencer, i.e. on automation data and note data.
