I've been trying to get into music production in the last month. I use FL studio because I had a friend who used it in the past so I'm a bit familiar with the very basics (how to use the playlist, piano roll, channel rack, nothing more).
It's just that every single tutorial I've watched is so confusing. I've tried fl studio tutorials, for example seamless on youtube. I didn't get anything. I even tried ableton tutorials just to see if I get anything and again, I got nothing out of it. They throw random names into the air as if I understand what they mean (Plugins, VST, compression, EQ, mixing, sidechain, and some other names f things I don't understand that frequently pop up) and it confuses the hell out of me. For example I just watched seamless's video on the channel setting window, and after watching it, I still barely know how to use that window, there are so many things I still don't get, because they just assume I understand what they're saying... And it drives me nuts. It gives me a headache just trying to learn anything.
My question is, how do most people learn? There is so much to learn and every tutorial assumes I have basic knowledge of audio and production when in reality I really know nothing about it. If anyone can suggest a very basic tutorial, one that treats its audience like they have no clue what they're doing, I would be very glad. I'm really overwhelmed right now by the amount of stuff I don't understand in only the very first "basic" video tutorials.
