Hi all!
Could somebody please explain how this works. So in Ableton you can fold out a set of notes so you stay in key while clicking and adding notes to your progression. Here he has set up the notes he will use in his key, but there is an odd thing, he changed his Chord from Major to Minor, but as I see he used one note which is not included in the set he is using when he presses the Fold button.
Why does this work?
http://prnt.sc/f4cy1t Note is on A#
http://prnt.sc/f4cy9t Note transposed to A
If you are wondering what FOLD I am talking about (http://prntscr.com/f4czhf), you click the notes that are in the scale and just hit the fold button so you don't mix between certain scales.
Sorry if this is a basic theory question but I always though if you choose a scale that you have to stick with it.
Thanks for the answers.
