After being a Propellerhead Reason user for 6 years, I finally decided to switch to FL Studio (mainly for VST use and better, more direct sample editing).
I like it a lot but I've been starting to run into slow-downs due to my relatively "old" desktop setup. After doing some research I've picked the pieces I want to upgrade over the next few months to pretty much switch out all the main components (see below).
It's pretty much built around the Ryzen 5 1600x - which I chose because I think it will offer a good balance between single thread performance and multiple core functionality.
My two splurges:

1TB SSD - just because I like the simplicity of having a single storage drive.

32GB of RAM - because overkill
