Hey all!
I've been having some issues recently, regarding mastering. Usually i will get down a great track, but it loses its energy when it comes to the mastering phase, this is because i take off the reverb send and reapply it in mastering to stop compression of the verbs and the mix becoming muddy.
Anyway, so i'll save my send from my project, and bring it over to my mastering project and add the send and link up the appropriate channels, however, it ALWAYS sounds different. Less reverby, just a bit 'dead'. I'm trying to figure out why this is but have no idea..
I have all my channels linked to a master buss except the send channel goes straight to the master as it cant go to the master buss (that would compress and limit all the verb anyway whcih is what i want to avoid)
So does anyone know how to reapply reverbs and effects in the mastering stage appropriately? Without it sounding less energetic and generally different from the original mix?
Thanks for any help!
