Been searching everywhere and have not been able to find any reliable sources on this: I'm looking for a plugin that can modulate, in real-time, vocal formants. I just want to be sure that if I buy a plugin its actually going to be able to automate vocal formants without producing a million artifacts like every method I've tried so far.

I'd greatly appreciate a response from anyone who has successfully recreated this effect. I've seen a lot of speculative talk on forum posts about Melodyne, Pitchwheel, and Little AlterBoy, but can't find any videos or otherwise trustworthy evidence that this effect is cleanly achievable with those plugins. Don't want to spend money on something that might not work for me.
