Hi guys--I've been extremely interested in purchasing a hardware synth for some time now (I've debated buying a Virus for years, among others) to complement my student-loan riddled digital-only workflow.
After it was announced, I've been eyeing the Novation Peak pretty heavily to the point where I've been setting aside portions of my paycheck to fund it in a couple of months. However, I'm not sure if it will fit into my existing setup without any additional purchases. Here's a (shitty powerpoint) schematic of my planned setup:

I currently own everything but the Peak and plan to connect it as shown in that schematic. My main question is--will I be able to play notes on my LaunchKey (connected to the desktop via USB) through the Peak? Or will I require an extra MIDI keyboard with MIDI out (the LaunchKey does not have MIDI out)?
For reference, I looked at the Novation Peak User Guide (see pages 9-11) but it looks like each of them shows a direct MIDI connection to the Peak. Example 3 looks CLOSE, but if I understand correctly it's still converting MIDI data from the PC through an interface to an actual MIDI connection on the Peak.
What other gear will I need to budget for? My ideal scenario would be just one MIDI keyboard that can control either the Peak or any of my various soft synths without any cable swapping, etc. Would upgrading my LaunchKey to something with MIDI Out do the trick?
Thanks in advance for all of the help!
