Hello to everyone, this is my first post on this subreddit. I am building a small home studio recording for fun and my next step is to buy a midi keyboard, with pad, to make some beat or instrumental tracks: I am a guitarist and a "songwriter", so I will mainly add drum, piano, synth, bass to my songs.
I was looking for low budget solution, let's say around 100€, so I found the AKAI MK 2 Mini, which seems very nice also for its being portable: I live abroad during the week and I do business trips sometimes, so I like the idea to bring it with me. But whenever I Google "25 vs 49", everyone agree with the fact that I will regret to have only 25. So I had a look to the M-Audio Oxygen 49, a little bit far from by budget but I can afford it. But it would stay at my home only and abroad I will make beats with the virtual keyboard of Logic Pro, as I am doing now.
Question is simple: as I am definitely not a pianist - now, maybe I will learn :) - will I regret to have bought the MK2 Mini?
I thought also about buying the M-Audio Keystation 49, to leave at home, plus the AKAI LPD8 to bring with me, but this controller, according to reviews of users, seems to be worse than the pad on MK2 MINI.
What would you advice me?
