Hey guys, so I've been producing for almost 2 years now and I've noticed recently my biggest flaw is creating synth patches. I've gotten a lot better at messing with audio files and making them sound better and stuff, but I'm lacking the ability to create my own sounds from scratch. A lot of time i go into serum to make a patch it ends up sounding like crap. Sometimes I get something good but not as often as I'd like.
Should I just keep experimenting in serum until I get better? All of those YouTube videos that show you how to make specific sounds don't seem to help when creating a brand new sound, only to recreate the one they made in the video. Thanks guys!
