It seems like the things that sound bad in mono are the elements that I added stereo separation to. Should I just not add a lot of stereo separation to my mixer tracks to avoid a bad mono sound?
Also, have you guys had good results adding a bit of stereo separation to the master channel? I think it makes my track sound better, but I mix and master in the same project so when I turn the stereo separation knob left (I use FL 12), the track goes above the limiter ceiling... Any way around this?
