Hey, so I've been "making music" for a little bit now but I'm currently confronting the issue that I only ever write out an idea of a song and in total it only lasts around a minute and fairly tends to be fairly repetitive. So I am stuck in a loop and attempting at getting out of it since it's somewhat frustrating that I haven't completed a single track yet. I hear a good few people recommending to recreate tracks in order to help learn. I was think of also doing it since overall the vast amount of information there is to learn is daunting and confusing. Make question is how should I start do I just listen and attempt to remake it with no outside help. I would like to explore mura masa and flume since I've always been stumped at how they make some of their tracks. If I'm lost in the process should I use outside resources or is that cheating the learning process?
