Hi, I've always wondered how many snare samples do skilled producers use in their songs. While listening carefully to songs where I think drums were programmed, I can count up to 5 different snare samples. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Often I count only 2 different samples. (Here's an example from Bonobo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SPmMMqNC4o, I hear only 2 different samples. But it could 4 samples looped. They seem slightly detuned. Another one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTVQF7gUkDg 2 samples. But it could be 1.) What do you think?
