As someone who was really interested in photography, I'm pretty aware of how easy it is to get sucked into buying gear when you should really be working on your own skills. How do you know when it's time to upgrade your gear for production?
Right now I'm using logic 9, the apogee jam and imic, ath mx50 and the mpk mini. I've been using this stuff for a long time - 6 years in the case of my headphones and logic. I'm into recording vocals and synths but I just don't know if I should upgrade and I feel like I might just be wanting to upgrade to make up for a creative block. So, again, when do you think it's time to invest in some gear?
