I've been into edm prod for a few months now, and I noticed when trying to make sounds, I just scroll through wavetables to find a starting point.
That's my issue. I'm basically hoping to find a good wavetable that fits my idea of a. sound, without much understanding of it.
I'm using sylenth1 a lot, so I know what sorts of wavetables I need to use for certain sounds. (sine, triangle, square,...).
But when going to Serum, I can assume that more complex sounds require more complex wavetables.
So, is there any way of better understanding wavetables or is it just a hit and miss by scrolling through presets?
Thanks in advance!
