Most of the time nowadays - barring a few exceptions here and there - I can't seem to focus, when I try to work on drum patterns or learn more about Serum for example, for more than 5 or 10 minutes usually because I get frustrated or hit a dead end or get distracted... and I keep trying to get work in here or there and I always end up with nothing. None of my current projects are going anywhere, they're all halfway done and I'm starting to get mad at myself for taking so long on them but I feel like I'm out of ideas.
I bought Serum a while back and promised myself I'd learn how to use it inside and out but I still basically know nothing. and it's starting to drive me insane, especially when I attempt to put in a hour or two and end up just messing around and get no results... then I log onto SoundCloud and see all these producers miles ahead of me, I get depressed and I feel like I'm going to be stuck here forever. anyone got tips for when you get bogged down like this?
