I am checking out the MidiShapper VST and at 1:30 in the embedded video they do something odd: http://www.cableguys.com/midishaper.html. They just click on the VST paramater and assign a number to it, then access the VST parameter from within MidiShapper. I do not seem to be able to do this. I am doubting myself now in Ableton 9. In an older version of Ableton, I used to be able to "MIDI learn", and map paramaters now I don't see anything like this in my Ableton 9 version. All help appreciated!
