Hi guys, so I am finally going to buy monitors and an audio interface. I am going to mention some information, and then post photos of my room.
For the monitors, I decided to use KRK Rokits 5G3, my budget is still tight, and from the research I have done, I found out these are the best for the price. Interface Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 for pretty much the same reason. If you have better suggestions please post them.
I produce mainly electronic music, I also have Sony Mdr-7506 as my headphones. I use Fl studio (dont think thats important tho lol). I have a feeling like monitors would help a lot, since I wanna focus on my mixing, and break down a lot of songs, I really want a good picture of what is happening.
I also want to see, what I can do with the acoustic treatment in my room. Unfortunately, I cannot really be in the middle of the room (I would have to arrange a lot of things, but would do it only if it was very important), I also dont have two full walls from my sides, and my room forms a regular shape. So I really dont have a lot of positives. Are bass traps really important ? Because the only place I can put them is behind my table I use.
Here are the photos: https://postimg.org/image/rdqttziil/ - my basic PC setup, I am really close to the wall, I do have the option to go back a bit, and this is the only place where I could place a bass trap.
https://postimg.org/image/vv7l4p0v1/ - setup again, just showing the windows on the left. My mom´s uncle is a carpenter, so maybe I could ask if he could make a wooden wall there for a decent price if it would help.
https://postimg.org/image/ijorgsbq7/ - showing the right side of my PC. Its completely empty, just a simple shelve and then the main wall with the door.
https://postimg.org/image/k6gju6xg5/ - and here is the bed idea, I am just showing it, so you can make a complete idea, of how my room looks like. I could move my bed back a little, and maybe put a bass trap there, or treat it somehow.
So that is it, I have posted some ideas, but I just dont know if they would be effective, so if anyone here, had the time to read this post, I would appreciate you opinions and ideas. Thank you a lot for reading this.
P.S I am adding this,I just realized, that maybe I will need some stands for the monitors. Do you think they are important ? I could not find any decent ones, so if you have some recommended ones, it´d be cool if you mention it :)
