I’m making a lot of UK bass orientated music recently and every single track I make is always in either F-G#m. I saw a post the other day about why X is your favourite key and a lot of people seem to like C#m, D#m or even Bbm . I’ve just had a play about in C#m and it’s a horrible note to get a good sound, my lead sound and my sub bass are both either too low or too high.
If I start playing on F# but only the notes of the C#m scale, is this still in C#m or would it be the F# lydian scale?
I'm probably thinking into this too much lol
