I'm a fan of free vst. It never made sense to me when people actually spending money on something like EQ or panning even reverb plugin. If there're tons of free+great options out there, why would people spend so much money on plugins? Lots of DAWs have basically all the vst you need to produce a nice track. Stuff like Fabfilter stuff and iZotope compressors? I tried iZotope Ozone 5 one week demo once and i hear no difference in final results mastering with it compared with using DensityMk2 and Maximus.
