So I recently got a Tascam DR-40 and have been recording miscellaneous sounds here and there to incorporate them into my tunes. I have been recording things like the ambience of different environments, snaps, lighter flicks, and hitting random objects around my house. My question is, what do you guys typically do to "treat" these samples after you get them inside your DAW? In other words, how do you polish these foley sounds to make them more easily usable in high fidelity productions?
