So I have what I consider a quick question but just wanted people's opinions on this... not looking for DON'T DO IT THAT WAY; but more of "if you do it that way I would suggest X". That said; I have my first show coming up in March where I will play with a few other artists and I have to fill an hour slot. That said I noticed a lot of my music doesn't start with percussion it starts with a synth that gradually grows. So my question is for a show is it best to keep the beat going between songs or will it kill the dancefloor if I just do basic fades between song transitions but keep my songs how they are without the beat going? Opinions probably vary, but opinions are what I'm looking for. Thanks.
