I recently did a remix of a track where I filtered out the original song to isolate the vocal and made a different instrumental underneath it. I didn't do anything different to the vocal, just placed a new song under it. However SoundCloud won't let it up due to copyright infringement.
I'd post a link to the track but I don't want to com off as self promo.
So really, I want to know where the line between copyright infringement and remix is. From what I understand what I did was a bootleg, so I'm having trouble understanding why I can't post it.
If I am in the wrong, is there anything I can do to have my version of the track up without infringing?
