If you haven't heard of it already, Music Memos (made by Apple) is a fantastic free app for recording ideas (chord progressions/melodies/lyrics/rhythms etc.) so you don't forgot them before you get a chance to actually record/get into your DAW. It's come in very handy for me on the go if an idea pops into my head, or for studio sessions to remember vocal lines/lyrics with a singer before being able to actually record them. The interface is very organized and ofc geared to recording music - sooo helpful. I'm not sure if it's a popular app, but I use it all the time so I figured I'd let everyone here know too!!
