Hey guys!
I made a track recently, and while I was fooling around with some acapellas, I added a pretty old acapella from a track that was released in 1998.
It's a pretty popular track by the way, but i don't think it's important which one it is.
My question is: will I (generally speaking) get into any sort of legal problems, if I'm using only a 15 second hook from it? If the answer is yes, how could I go around it ?
What if I keep the vocal line, but ask a vocalist to re-sing it? What if I add more vocals to it, and keep the 15 second hook?
I feel like this vocal fits my track perfectly, so it would be really cool, if I could use it some way or another.
