Hey everyone,
So I've been producing for about 3 years and a half and, in all that time, I only managed to finish one track until the end, and it was because i really forced myself to do it, ending up with a shitty mixing and mastering on it because of that.
When I start a new track, I'm always pumped and full of ideas for it, but then halfway through, my brain just paralyzes. I run out of ideas, sound designing starts feeling like a burden and I end up just dropping the project.
Right now, I do this as a hobby, and maybe the lack of a goal or deadline is making me have this mentality of never finishing a song because, subconsciously, I know that isn't really going to affect my life in any way, since I don't make a living out of this.
I try to find inspiration and motivation in other peoples' work, since my wish is to make as good productions as those people but, eventually, that motivation just ends up dying.
I wanted to know if any of you guys experience this often and what advices do you have for someone going through this.
