hi /r :)
So here is my new trouble I can't produce well with the red bar hitting.. what can I do for don't have this, but still take all the headroom for my kick. ( modulate every gain at the end bass/instrument ? / sidechain is proper with volume shaper ) I use ableton with 4 big bus ( kick/snare/crash ) ( drums not main ) ( instrument ) and ( sample/white noise etc.. ) : / (bus send in them) : my bass/instrument
put a limiter /clip on all my bus ?
but I try to produce dubstep and "heavy edm" so I "pre make" my bus for have a sense of glue ( a bit of compression on the bus at the start )
I was watching long day ago a stream of krne using compressor on bus and I think it's a good idea ( a tiny bit ) like not a bad idea ? ( bus at the start of producing ) like compressing the tail of all his drum dynamic.
- my question is, there is such thing as making synth with limiter/ pre FX ? ( during the sound design )

There is solution to have "fat sound" ' maybe not really dynamic ' but not being fucked by the redbar in the master making me tweak everything until I finaly get rid of it ( the red ) and not loose my time mixing shit. I don't want to have my sound clipping at all ? when it's becoming red, I only see the red and loose my focus on creative process
I want to have a sense of "end result" not a "we will see approximately at the end" ( and make it through the loudness war )
what should be a good start for a sense of glueness or things I should really know about for not being bother with the master meter hitting red, even if it kills every dynamic, this is just for when I make the song, I would prefer a flat mix without dynamic than a hollow one. ( and see for make dynamic at the end )
have you some advice to help me, I m producing since almost 2 years learning a bit in no sense, but I'm really fan of the electronic mix aspect. I think I know everything about the daw, but miss some good methodoly maybe. ( changing mine everyday )
is that possible so to get this glueness sense ? I have a solid computer, I m not affraid of cpu eat.
I just need push some even more knowledge ? mastering give the glue I m looking for, or it's all about perfect volume balance ? ( and eq/compression trigger ? ) maybe modulate eq/gain at the end ?
thanks mates have a good day/night :)
