I just bought these bad boys the other day. I'd say the frequency response is fairly flat and the bass response is pretty good. It pointed a huge problem I had with my other mixes: I was overcompensating with bass and sub. The sub can actually be heard/felt in these cans.
I have big ass ears, so it would be more comfortable for someone with a smaller head. Which is literally everyone else in the world lol.
The cable is detachable so you don't have to worry about the 1/8 jack breaking. It also comes with a screw on 1/4 jack and another wire and both leather non-leather pads.
If getting the m50x's will break the bank, these are a good alternative for half the price. Or you can get the MKI (Mark 1), which is $50. It doesn't have the detachable cable, which is why I bought the MKII
