Just a little information about me, so you guys and gals can help me better:
-
So I'm a bit tech unsavvy, but not completely in the dark with these things (I hope).
-
I'm not one of those people that need top of the line hardware to produce, just looking for something decent that will last me without causing too much trouble.
-
I produced a lot of acoustic music so I'm not using tons of plugins and not pushing the processors too hard, but I'm looking to experiment with EDM and incorporating EDM into my music, so I don't know how much this fact will change my mixing. Definitely looking at more tracks and digital processing than before, right?
The particular notebook I am looking at is the LG All Day Gram 15 fully upgraded. The model number is 15Z970-GA75K. It's 16G Ram, 512 SSD, Windows 10 Home 64bit and then I noticed Intel's 7th generation i7 7500u Kabylake processors are 2 cores, and wondered what this meant for music producers.
I tried googling for answers, but most answers are related to gaming and graphics processing... A lot of answers were pointing to the chips being more efficient and preserving battery life.
Thanks in advance for your opinions and assistance in my troubles.
