Hey guys, I recently bought a used Akai MPK Mini controller off Craigslist for a very good price. Everything seems like it works just fine, lights are on when it's plugged into my PC, and my Ableton Live Lite seems to recognize the controller (when I go to preferences and look at my midi settings) but for some reason I am having a hard time actually getting to use it. I've been watching YouTube videos and I swear I'm doing what everyone else is doing, but I can't map any of my keys. It just won't let me. I'm wondering if it's because I don't have the controller registered on the Akai website. I tried registering it, but obviously the previous owner already had so the key was invalid. I asked a friend about it before and was told I shouldn't necessarily need to register a brand new controller if I want to use it, but I'm starting to feel like that's the case. Can anyone help me please?
