First time posting on this sub, thanks a ton for all the excellent content and ideas you guys are posting. Absolutely loving exploring what you guys are hearing and making.
Wanted to get your opinion on a track. I'm working on trying to recreate a certain sound from this new artist I love and can't quite pinpoint it.

The synth I'm referring to starts at right about 0:40. and its a warping synth that sort of follows a non existent 4 on the floor... I've been trying to recreate it using an airy synth and then side chaining a compressor to a four on the floor kick, but its not quite as distinct as this artist has it. Any thoughts?
