I see a lot of places, people getting an acapella from someone and basing songs around it. While that seems much easier, I've always thought you finished the song, or at least got the feel of it finished, and THEN recorded vocals. I feel like, with the feel of a song established, a vocalist can adjust his or her voice to it. But then, you can't really do vocal chops.
