While a load of new grooveboxes are being presented at 2017 NAMM, I'm still asking myself what keeps these companies alive. Who would buy such expensive equipment, that will be outdated in a few months, when you can have a good laptop equipped with a DAW, that has a big screen, can be updated and expanded easily, and with which you can also read emails and watch porno at a fraction of the price? I mean, if it is for keys and knobs and phisical faders there are midi controllers that can do the job, don't they?
