Hello, I'm getting into the hobby and lifestyle of making music and I'm finding myself struggling to understand exactly the types of sounds I hear in the artists I want to base my sound around.
For example, listening to Slow Magic, having help knowing why his sounds are that way helps make similar stuff. It sounds like he uses lots of lush melodies, heavy use of cut vocal samples that often don't have any actual lyrical use and simple drum patterns.
It may sounds dumb or obvious to people who've been producing longer but for someone new, understanding what they hear could help a lot.
