I am a rapper. I like to try out new ideas, and one of my shower thoughts yesterday was to write over a dubstep / EDM track.
By using a simple internal rhyme scheme, I should be able to shift the melody of the song from the vocals (where they would normally be in a rap song) to the dubstep song.
This is different from most "rapstep" because I will be writing full verses to the EDM, instead of 4-6 bars which are repeated over and over again in between the more interesting parts of the music.
EDIT: this song is going to have a slightly unusual topic. It will be about greedy characters in movies and entertainment from their perspective. Example characters include Gordon Gekko from Wall Street and Burke from Aliens.
