I've been making (predominantly) dub step for a while, its probably my strongest genre in a production and sound design sense.
I'm able to make some really sick mid range basses in serum, but, they're only ever mono compatible (1 voice)
so im lacking depth and width in these sounds i make and in the mix you can really tell whats missing
I've seen some virtual riot tutorials and his basses sometimes carry up to 16 voices! they wide and sound great when he uses them, but jesus h christ mine sound terrible
1)Am i just being finicky about my sound design in serum, by keeping to mono 1 (voice basses?)
2) Is anyone willing to show or tell any of their tricks when it comes to this topic? ( i will certainly share a few of mine)
