I'm gonna be honest- this is my first time using reddit and I don't know if questions are even valid here, but I've been trying to mix and master for a lonnnng time now, and it almost never sounds good. My typical process is to adjust volume, EQ everything, add reverb and compression, put a limiter on, and then adjust volume once more. (I must admit i'm not an expert on compressors or limiters and all I really do is turn the ratio all the way up and then adjust the threshold.) Does anyone have any thoughts or tips?
