On headphones, there's an overwhelming amount of mids and it drowns out everything else. I've tried headphones with other audio sources and it's not the headphones. Is there some sort of interference occuring from other components in the laptop?
I'd rather not change the EQ of my laptop as I do not want to mix with an already altered/biased EQ. Are there any physical components (that I can replace) in particular that are behind this odd mid-freq prominence?
