Whenever I make chord progressions, my rhythms are not at all interesting. I can make only those whole bar sustained or deadmau5y 128bpm 1/16 chords.

Now like in this example, I know that the chord selection also plays a very important role- But then the rhythm here is a little different than those other commercial songs.
So what should I practise, in order to make my chord progressions more rhythmically interesting?
