Particularly percussion, like snares. Some snares I see are hard limited like a lot of cymatics stuff and trap snares, other times it's just normalized. I've heard different philosophies concerning how many sequential samples you can clip without it being audibly distorted.
What's your philosophy? Other than the classic, "whatever sounds good bro." Though that is the best advice.
