I suck at percussion. I can make a basic house loop which so far I've figure out is:
4/4 kick, 2/4 clap/snare, Offbeat hihat, Then every few beats (like 2-8) there will be another hat/perc sound which is 3 16ths Before the kick and then another 5 16ths after the kick (im sure theres a better way to explain this timing because its so common but im a noob) eg:

which have more going on - I just can't quite figure out what exactly. Are there other common elements i'm missing?
