I get a lot of messages on soundcloud from shitty producers to like or share their track, it will go something like this
"Hey, hope your day is going good, will you please like and share my track".
At this point im pretty triggered, so i just ignore the guy, Why ?
1)Assume like he knew me, when i don't even know him.
2)Asked me to like something that was badly produced.
3)Told me what to do.
4)Didn't show much interest in me, on a human to human level.
Should you avoid spamming people inbox to check out your music, yes.
Here's what you can do instead.
Genuinely compliment someone on their music, or if you found them on a youtube promotion channel, congratulate them on their feature. Don't you dare mention your track. example
"Congrats on your upload to (whereever the fuck you found them either a site or youtube channel) mate, keep up the good work"
This has won me a friendship, that i honestly wasn't looking for, just thought it be nice to reach out to someone who was featured on a channel.
Never ask anyone to like or repost your track, because if the person really liked it, he would have done so regardless.
Keep producing guys, i troll you all :)
