The process of producing an electronic album is much different than a traditional rock/pop/metal album since most of the sounds are not recorded in a studio, but made within the artist's DAW.
I would imagine the costs are a lot lower since they don't need to rent studio time, they don't need a recording engineer or a record producer, and do some initial mixing (an engineer might do final touches).
So my question is, what are professional producers spending their budget on, and on average what does a production end up costing?
