By which I mean, a program (script even???) that you could run to make all your samples the same volume. I have looked on google but only found software that does this for mp3s.
Should I convert my sample library to .mp3? From what I understand, there is conversion software that can do it in a way that the difference is completely unnoticeable. Personally I've always felt I could tell the difference, so I'm reluctant to abandon wav. At any rate, I'm open-minded about solutions, but it seems like the easiest thing would be if I can just do this with the samples I already have.
I don't mind adjusting volume levels, but the main reason I want to do this is because I seem to get the occasional sample that's WAY louder than others, and I'm afraid of hurting my ears when it blasts out of my speakers unexpectedly.
Anyone recommend a program? Free would be ideal but I'm willing to pay if there is no free program that does it. Thank you!
