Hey everyone,
My question/discussion here is about people who have had some success on beatport with their track, or a track that was very well recieved.
I've had some minor personal successes so far with my music, and I'm only really talking about small time to semi well known djs playing the tracks on their shows or during live sets, and a small label release on beatport.
But I'm curious, did you approach your more successful tracks in a certain way? Did you aim to get it to a certain "level", or was it a lucky accident, and people happened to really like the track?
Was a good production more important, or was it more about the music in and of itself? I kind of ask all of this because sometimes I find my best tracks are made by accident, and sometimes they say that the best thing you can do is just to "show up"; to keep on producing tracks until you get "lucky", though I'm not 100% convinced by this because I can be proud of some hard work too!
Looking forward to hearing your stories :)
