Hi all. Have been messing around and was curious if anyone else does this:
Produce your tracks with master compression and limiting enabled from the start? I feel like its causing me to crush my overall master more than I normally would, but at the same time it feels like I'm having an easier time making everything really present, more so than when I would mix my song, THEN apply the master effects.
Curious about pros and cons of this method. Obvious pro is that you're listening to something that sounds more close to how it will sound post mix right from the start.
