Hello! I've been dabbling in music production on and off for three years, and very recently have decided to buckle down and really improve my skills because I have lots of ideas floating around my head that I'd love to be able to turn into music. However, I'm almost entirely self taught and that mostly from just playing around and a few tutorials here and there. Right now my DAW is LMMS, a free FL studios-esque software I'm actually really happy with. I have a few free synths and plugins for bass and leads, but the only real financial investment I've made so far was in purchasing NI Massive which I absolutely love, to the point where almost all my project files look like four or five drum tracks, some automation and twenty instances of Massive.
I know I have a lot to learn and that there are countless tutorials on Youtube so I won't ask for general advice, but what I am wondering is if there are any core assets to producing that I might be unaware of that I should be utilizing? Free is best, but I wouldn't mind paying a bit for something really useful.
